Marco Brambilla
Marco Brambilla (born 1964, Milan, Italy) is an Italian-born Canadian artist and filmmaker who works in the United States. Educated at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada, where he studied film, he first worked in commercials and feature films, directing the successful 1993 science fiction film Demolition Man. In 1998 he shifted focus to video and photography projects, and has since exhibited works in private and public collections, including at the Guggenheim Museum in New York,[2] "Cyclorama" at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art,[3] and "HalfLife" at the New Museum of Contemporary Art,[4] His commissions include "Superstar" for the "59th Minute" series in Times Square in 1999,[5] and "Arcadia" for "Massless Medium: Explorations in Sensory Immersion" at Brooklyn Bridge Anchorage in 2001,[6] both for New York public arts organization Creative Time. His installation, "Cathedral" was showcased during the Toronto International Film Festival 2008 and his latest work "Civilization" will be a permanent installation at the Standard Hotel in New York when it opens in 2009. Transit, a collection of photographs Brambilla took in and around national and international airports, was published by Booth-Clibborn Edit.
Civilization depicts a journey from hell to heaven interpreted through the modern language of film using computer-enhanced found footage. This epic video mural contains over 300 individual channels of looped video blended into a multi-layered seamless tableau of interconnecting images that illustrates a contemporary, satirical take on the concepts of Heaven and Hell. winki

Alan Wong/Hawaii
Chef Alan Wong, winner of the 1996 James Beard Northwest Chef Award for Best Chef, Pacific Northwest/ Hawaii, and his restaurant staff offer guests a unique taste of Hawaiian Regional Cuisine. The Chef's innovative dishes are a direct reflection of the diversified cultures living in the islands; a rich mixture of traditions, lifestyles, and most importantly, people.
Utilizing the freshest of locally grown produce and the bounties of the Pacific Ocean result in the Chef's highly personal adaptation of the contemporary style of cooking found here in Hawaii today. The goal is to give diners a true slice of Hawaii by incorporating ingredients familiar to the Islands.

Junior Boys
Originally a duo of Jeremy Greenspan and Johnny Dark, Junior Boys created a sound that would reconcile their influences. Years of collaboration followed and a demo was produced, but after many rejections and near-misses, they were resigned to being bedroom beat constructors. Soon after, Johnny Dark left the band to pursue other interests. Eventually KIN Records heard their demo at the end of 2002 and commissioned more work from remaining member Greenspan. Hooking up with his engineer, Matt Didemus, he began again, writing more material and pulling an album together.

Seoul Korea
Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is by far the country's largest city populated by over 10 million people. Moreover, it is considered the nation's center of culture-a culture that has been cultivated for 600 years.
The plane going to Seoul will land you at the futuristic Incheon International Airport, situated 52 kilometers west of the city. Taking you to the city itself, a taxi or a bus can be your option. The latter is the best option for most travelers as it runs directly to Seoul and will cost less.
Once you are settled in, keeping in mind you have exchanged enough money into Won, it is now time to explore the city. Choose your mode of transportation-subway, bus, or taxi-that will suit your budget and your schedule, as traffic jams are common in this city. As a tourist, getting around will be quite difficult if there is a language barrier. The solution: the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) taxis where the drivers speak English and accept US dollars if you opt to pay in that currency.
During the day:
* If you are a fan of market shopping, Insadong should be in your checklist. It is the touristiest place that boasts of its art galleries and shops, as well as traditional tea and coffee shops.
* If exploration of history is your interest, go visit Gyeongbok-gung, the grandest palace of Seoul. It had been the seat of power for centuries during the time that the city was made South Korea's capital. More historical facts and artifacts can be explored in the National Palace Museum and the National Folk Museum.
* If fun-filled theme park is your kind of treat, Lotte World is the place to be. It is one of the world's largest indoor amusement parks. Rides, skating rink, and parades await you. For a mellow experience, check out the folk museum to immerse yourself in ancient Korean life.
