Notice how retailers have put more decorative effort in fitting rooms and they've have gotten quite spiffy!

Because I know my size, I usually just grab and go.

But the 'Flower Mesh Jumper' is so cute wanted to try it on before buying. I noticed the lighting inside American Apparel's  fitting room is spectacular! It reminds me of the Lighsaber lightning above:)

Steve McCurry's Limited Edition THE ICONIC PHOTOGRAPHS

With her haunting green eyes set in a once unknown innocent face, Steve McCurry’s Afghan Girl was a stark reminder of the effects of war. One click of a Nikon camera was all that was needed to grab the world’s attention and underscored the idiom that a picture is worth a thousand worlds. Smuggling film sewn into his native costume, Steve was able to show some of the very first images from the Afghani/Russian conflict. With his colorful style and keen eye, Steve is able to document images that visually excite and are fuel for discussion. Born in Philadelphia, His work has spawned many awards including the Robert Capa medal for best photographic reporting from abroad. He has been featured in every major magazine in the world and is often featured in National Geographic. A legend in the photography world Steve was able to persuade Kodak to give him the last roll of kodachrome film and used it to document images all over the world.


His latest book draws from the Iconic photographs that he has taken over the years. Named, The Iconic Photographs, Steve has drawn from the best of his work and built a collection of 160 photographs spanning a career that has lasted decades. Only 3300 copies have been published making the coffee top book a coveted prize to those who love his style of photo journalism. The book captures the life of people around the world as seen through the vivid eyes of McCurry, containing scenes of people eating; sleeping, fishing and sleeping together bring a world to those that would perhaps never see what is contained outside of their own lives. He is able to document what may seem like the insignificant and bring it to life. His most famous portraits including the Afghan girl are presented in a life size form so to create a better intimacy with the subject. His pictures are beautiful, poignant at times yet uplifting. A testimony to a wonderful career!

Panoramic View of The Palace and Gardens of Versailles by John Vanderlyn

This circular panoramic view of Versailles was painted at Kingston, New York, and New York City between 1818 and 1819. Vanderlyn used numerous sketches (Senate House Museum, Kingston, New York) that he had made at Versailles in 1814. The perspective was carefully adjusted to the circular shape. The painting was originally intended for display in the Rotunda built by Vanderlyn in 1818 at the northeast corner of City Hall Park in New York. Its showing there was not as successful as Vanderlyn had wished. In search of some profit, Vanderlyn toured intermittently with the panorama until his death. The artist depicted himself pointing out Czar Alexander I and King Frederick William II of Prussia to the right of the Basin de Latone.

To pay homage to Lance's renewed racing career, Nara embellished his Trek Speed Concept bike for the July 23rd Annecy Individual Time Trial with a cartoon motif of children in boxing gloves and flying UFOs, along with a LIVESTRONG logo written in bubbly cloud lettering. In a personal gesture, Nara also included a moving inspirational message handwritten across the top tube of the bike's frame, visible only when Armstrong's head is deep in an aerodynamic tuck: "Never Forget Your Beginner's Spirit."

As his first run on the Tour de France after retiring from professional racing three years ago, the opening time trial was one of the most high-profile moments in Lance's historic comeback — and one appropriately commemorated by Newson's graphic treatment of his Trek Speed Concept. Featuring subtle flat black clear coat over raw OCLV Carbon offset by glossy contrast details, including Newson's "Stroboscopic" rear wheel design that appears to pulse as it spins, the bike brings a new level of design sophistication to the most legendary cycling event in the world, while simultaneously flying the flag of cancer awareness in LIVESTRONG yellow.

To help give Lance an extra boost across the finish line in this year's Tour de France, Hirst customized a Trek Madone with a gorgeous array of real butterflies from the frame down to the Bontrager rims, which also bear a repeating pattern of the willowy creatures. Eschewing the traditional LIVESTRONG yellow in favor of bright shocking pink logos all around, Hirst brings even more attention to the cause in a colorscheme that can be easily read at nearly any distance (or speed).
